Father’s Day Flyer Sunday 16th June
Treat your special Dad or Grandad to a trip aboard the “Father’s Day Flyer” on Sunday June 16th at Telford Steam Railway.
We are offering a bespoke package for a family of four to enjoy a day together which includes a memorable trip for Dad on the footplate of our resident steam locomotive, GWR Tank Engine No. 5619. The loco crew will demonstrate the finer points of locomotive driving, and Dad will enjoy the sights, sounds and feel the heat of a working steam engine. The footplate ride will last for a full round trip of the line.
The Father’s Day package also allows unlimited travel on our standard gauge service for all the family, admission to the model railway exhibition and a two-course meal served in our very own Furnaces Tearoom. The cost of the package is an attractive £80 for a family of four.
There are only 4 footplate rides available on the day with departures from Spring Village at 12pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm. With demand expected to be high, please book early to avoid disappointment.
